About this site

  • The first version of this site was powered by Drupal, an open-source content management system, but I decided that was a little too much when I was mostly using it for a blog. The second version is powered by WordPress.
  • My favicon (the little open book that you should see in the address bar) came from Favicons R Us. I tweaked it some to make the background transparent, rather than white, using a free plug-in for Photoshop from Telegraphics which adds support for saving the ICO format.
  • To create my theme, I copied the zen theme and then adjusted for my own purposes (made it purple, used images instead of text for the header, put my image on the right).
  • The original WordPress theme was Yo Deejay! Designed by Retzwerx, which I then tweaked to make it to my liking.
  • The image of the lady with the crystal ball is from the painting The Crystal Ball by John William Waterhouse.
